  OPENAI RESPONDS TO CHATGPT’S DECLINING PERFORMANCE

OpenAI has responded to a report that their AI has become "lazier and dumber" due to a model update. Users on OpenAI’s developer forum, along with Reddit communities, have noticed a decrease in the AI's quality, with perceived losses in reasoning and logic capabilities.

Peter Welinder, VP of product at OpenAI, disputed these claims, insisting that each new version is smarter than the last and that any perceived regression could be due to users noticing more issues due to heavier use.

  IPHONE 15 EXPECTED TO ADOPT AI AGGRESSIVELY

Apple is expected to leverage AI in the upcoming iPhone 15 to enhance its Health app, according to analyst Dan Ives from Wedbush Securities. While Apple already uses AI for applications like Siri and smart photo rendering and has incorporated machine learning capabilities in iOS 17, Ives anticipates the iPhone 15 to lead a more aggressive move into AI.

This comes as the iPhone 15 series is likely to present a more iterative hardware upgrade, with the major standout feature rumored for the iPhone 15 Pro Max being a periscope camera. Therefore, a software upgrade emphasizing AI is viewed as a sensible progression.
