Meta has announced the open sourcing of its large language model, LLaMA 2, making it available for free for commercial and research use. This competes directly with OpenAI's GPT-4. Microsoft has introduced Bing Chat Enterprise, an AI-powered chat tool for work that promises to protect user and business data within the organization. According to Microsoft's Work Trend Index, 70% of employees are eager to delegate as much work as possible to AI, but using AI tools not designed for the enterprise can put sensitive data at risk.
Bing Chat Enterprise aims to address this issue, ensuring chat data remains confidential, is not saved, and is not used to train models. Bing Chat Enterprise can be accessed via Bing.com/chat and the Microsoft Edge sidebar, and will eventually be accessible from Windows Copilot.
