2. Explain the Concept In Simple Terms 

Next, explain the concept to yourself out loud in plain, straightforward language. 

Avoid using technical words or complex terms. 

This simplification into simple terms ensures you grasp the basics and clarifies your understanding.

3. Identify Gaps and Weak Spots

Notice where you struggle to explain the idea simply. 

These hard-to-explain spots show gaps or weaknesses in your understanding. Make a note of these shaky areas. 

4. Review and Improve Understanding 

Go back to the source material to review the concepts you identified as gaps. 

Study these sections more thoroughly, until you can explain them fully in basic terms.

GOOGLE’S TO WATERMARK AI AUDIO WITH SYNTHID TOOL

Google's AI model Lyria will watermark AI-generated audio tracks with a tool called SynthID. This will allow people to identify content that AI systems have created. According to Google's DeepMind division, the watermark will be inaudible to human ears and will persist even if the audio file is compressed, sped up/slowed down, or has background noise added. Tools like SynthID are seen as an important safeguard against the potential harms of AI-generated content.

MICROSOFT LAUNCHES CUSTOM AI AND CLOUD CHIPS

At its Ignite conference, Microsoft announced two new custom-designed chips - the Maia chip tailored for large language models like GPT that power Azure AI services, and the Cobalt CPU designed for general cloud computing. Microsoft will deploy these new chips, which mark the company's move to bring production in-house to power its AI and cloud workloads, in its own data centers first before offering them as part of the Azure platform. While moving chip design in-house, Microsoft emphasized it still maintains close partnerships with chipmakers like AMD, NVIDIA, Arm, and others. 

GOOGLE’S SGE ENHANCES SHOPPING WITH AI

Google is expanding its AI-powered Search Generative Experience (SGE) with new shopping features to help users discover unique gifts and products. This includes using AI to generate personalized gift ideas and fashion items that users can then purchase. For gift ideas, SGE will now suggest explorable subcategories when searching, like specialty cooking tools for a home chef. SGE is also gaining the ability to generate photorealistic images of apparel from text descriptions that users provide, allowing them to refine prompts and then find real products with a similar style to buy.
