BuzzFeed is going to use AI tools provided by ChatGPT creator OpenAI to "enhance" and "personalize" its content. In 2023, BuzzFeed's "AI-inspired content" will launch on the site, "enhancing the quiz experience, informing our brainstorming, and personalizing our content for our audience."

The news sent BuzzFeed stock surging 157% to $2.45 and was on track for its busiest session

Stocks were trading about 50% higher earlier in the day after a separate report by the Journal said Meta was paying BuzzFeed millions of dollars to bring more creators to Facebook and Instagram.

Canadian political party Campaigns With AI video, It backfired

Canadian Political Party, Alberta Party just pulled off the ultimate political trick - using AI to create an endorsement video! That's right, the AI-generated man in the video is showing his support for the Alberta Party, a centrist party in the province of Alberta that's currently sitting pretty with zero seats in the legislature (but hey, they did get 9% of the popular vote in the 2021 elections).

But here's the thing, the party didn't exactly shout from the rooftops that the video was AI-generated and some sharp-eyed Instagram commentators were quick to point out that something seemed a bit off about the clip.

In true political fashion, the Alberta Party quickly deleted the video and decided to reshoot it "with real party members" (you know, the ones with a pulse).

After reposting they are going with the “We experimented and are learning from our mistakes” approach.
