Google AI Just Became Better At Coding

In a new update to Google’s AI called Bard, they’ve improved its coding ability, this is what the update said:

Bard can now help you code in over 20 programming languages. When Bard generates Python code, you can also export & test the code directly in Google Colab. Try prompting Bard for help with languages like C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and even Google Sheets functions. ”

This is definitely a step in the right direction for Bard, hopefully, more major upgrades like this to come for more aspects of the AI.

Disney AI Actors

Apparently, Disney used AI Actors in the movie prom pact, the funny thing about this is that I actually watched the movie (would 8/10 recommend) but didn’t notice the crowd was AI-generated in any scene. I didn’t even see anything fishy about it until when I was scrolling Twitter on Sunday and saw some screenshots then googled it, just to realize there were only 4 real people in the crowd and the rest were AI-generated.

Now in the picture, it clearly looks AI generated but in real time you don’t even notice. Which poses a big question. Can we as humans really tell the difference between AI and non-AI when we are not looking for it?

OpenAI ChatGPT SuperApp

In case you weren’t aware Greg the president and co-founder of OpenAI had a TED talk about the founding of ChatGPT, at the start of the talk he gave a very interesting Live Demo of the 3rd party plugins, and from what was shown it is clear OpenAI is going for the Super App prize.

The Live Demo shows Greg ordering from Instacart using ChatGPT, it also showed him Tweeting from inside the ChatGPT interface, a question everyone had was “Will that mean we don’t need to visit sites again?” from the Demo we will still need to, that's the only was the Super App can align with other sites.

So how? Basically, when you pick out what you want to order from instacart, ChatGPT gives you a link to your order page on Instacart where you can edit and confirm the order.

Window Cleaning Spiderman Robot

This is definitely an instance of robots completely wiping out an occupation, window cleaners.

Verobotics, an Israeli start-up, has created a lightweight window-cleaning robot that can climb buildings like Spiderman.

It weighs 20lb, uses no liquids, and relies on the brush's mechanical force. Equipped with sensors, it provides a visual map and navigation system. The device fits inside a box that can be carried by one person, making it quicker, cheaper, and safer than other window cleaning systems.

Verobotics has partnered with Hong Kong's Robocore to clean and inspect high-rise buildings, with plans to expand to the US and Australia.

Well looking at the bright Window Cleaning is a dangerous job anyways
