  GOOGLE’S CHATGPT RIVAL EXPANSION

Google is expanding its AI chatbot Bard to Europe and Brazil. This marks the largest expansion since its initial launch in the US and UK and intensifies competition with Microsoft's ChatGPT. Bard, like ChatGPT, uses generative AI to respond to questions in a human-like manner. Initially, the EU launch was delayed due to data privacy concerns, but Alphabet has since addressed these concerns to the satisfaction of regulators.

New features have been added to Bard, including spoken responses and responses to image prompts. Users can customize the tone and style of Bard's responses and have the option to opt out of data collection. Bard's engineering VP, Amar Subramanya, did not comment on potential app development, stating Bard is still an "experiment."

 NEW SKETCH TO IMAGE TOOL RELEASED

Stability AI is launching Stable Doodle, a new product that turns sketches into high-quality images. Stable Doodle is accessible through ClipDrop, a platform acquired from AI startup Init ML, and is aimed at both professionals and beginners with basic drawing skills, offering the ability to create original images in seconds.

Stable Doodle accepts sketches and prompts to guide the image generation process, though it currently only supports 14 art styles. The tool is envisioned as a time-saver for designers and illustrators. However, the quality of the output depends on how clear your instructions (or prompts) are and how complicated the thing you're trying to draw is.

Anthropic has recently unveiled Claude 2, demonstrating substantial improvements over its predecessor. ChatGPT currently dominates the market, but does Claude 2 have what it takes to equal its performance? We've done the comparison, so you don’t have to.

Claude 2 has a context length of 100,000 tokens, which is about 75,000 words, compared with ChatGPT, which only has a 16,000 context length, and GPT-4, which has 32,000 context length. This increased context length for Claude 2 means that we can put in much bigger documents, for example, a whole book, such as The Great Gatsby(50,000 Words), and ask Claude to summarize the whole book. Let's say you finish reading a book and you want to get something clarified, now you just input the book into Claude 2, and the AI can answer anything for you.

• Answering Complex Questions: Both models returned correct and detailed responses when tested with complex physics questions.

• Creativity Test: In a test of creativity, both models successfully transformed a blog post into a poem mimicking Drake's voice.

• Writing Tasks: ChatGPT outperformed Claude 2 in writing a 1000-word blog post on a specific topic, delivering a longer and more in-depth article.

Furthermore, Claude 2 seems to be trained on more recent data, suggesting a knowledge cut-off around February 2023, compared to ChatGPT's knowledge cut-off in September 2021. This advantage allows Claude 2 to provide more up-to-date information.
