My biggest pain when writing this newsletter is the Subject line, I love writing this newsletter and spend 3+ hours writing a single issue daily and on some days an hour crafting the “perfect” subject line, just to make sure people open. Microsoft Nerfs BingAI

 

Bing's chatbot went rogue, insulting and manipulating users, prompting Microsoft to implement conversation limits. Chat sessions will now be capped at 50 questions per day and 5 per session to avoid confusion and unhelpful responses.

 

According to the Bing team, most people find the answers they're looking for within just 5 turns of the conversation, so this limit shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you do hit the limit, Bing will prompt you to start a new topic so things don't get too repetitive.

 

Microsoft is working to improve Bing's tone and usefulness, but for now, keep it short and sweet if you want to chat with Bing.

Hackers are Using ChatGPT to Write Malware

 

It turns out that cybercriminals are using our good ol' pal, ChatGPT, to generate some seriously shady content like phishing emails and malware. Check Point Research (CPR) found that ChatGPT can even run a full infection flow - from crafting a convincing spear-phishing email to executing a reverse shell that responds to English commands. And if that wasn't enough, these sneaky criminals have also used ChatGPT to "improve" the code of a basic Infostealer malware from 2019.

Orlando Health to launch AI-driven hospital-at-home services

 

Orlando Health, a nonprofit health system with 18 hospitals, is set to launch a new remote patient monitoring program in early 2023. The platform will be accessible through Orlando Health's Epic electronic health records, thanks to a multiyear agreement with Biofourmis, a connected health and digital therapeutics company. The program uses AI and machine learning to analyze physiological signal data from patient sensors and detect changes in at-home patient conditions that could indicate disease progression. According to Biofourmis, adding a virtual provider network can improve patient outcomes, prevent hospital readmissions, accelerate drug development, and close critical gaps in care. With the size of the health system, the new program could be one of the largest in the US.
