Microsoft Launches New Bing With ChatGPT AI 

well well well, who would have thought? I downloaded bing, and yes alongside millions of other AI nerds, we downloaded bing last night as Microsoft unveiled the new bing.

The only downer? well, you’re thrown onto a waitlist and will be given full access in a few weeks, but not without experiencing the magic of AI Search first, as you can see the new bing in action when you first install it answering a question on hosting a dinner party.

To get ahead on the waitlist, you have to essentially sell your soul to Microsoft. Make Edge your default browser AND Bing your default search engine. Great marketing Microsoft, well played.

I do have good news though, there’s a tweet currently going viral of a reporter who has access to the New Bing right now (LUCKY YOU) and she’s taking questions and asking the AI for you.

Google Drops Everything AI

Google's Event in Paris just ended and we got some news cause Google went all in on AI. When I say everything AI I mean Every Single Thing AI, Google is adding AI to every one of their products.

Google Maps? AIGoogle Search? AIGoogle Translate? AIGoogle lens? AIMusic + AI

They are a name change away from doing a Facebook, sorry meta.

Google Maps + AI

Google talked about the Immersive view on Maps, which will now also rely on AI. Keep in mind, this feature was first showcased earlier in September and it has not rolled out in all places. Google will start rolling it out today in Los Angeles, London, etc.

Google Search + AI

Nothing new here as we all already know about Bard which is currently being tested by "trusted testers". They however did say they are trying to launch it in a responsible and safe way, which simply means they are afraid of the internet jailbreaking it 2 hours after launch, so they are trying to make sure there're no loopholes.

Breaking News Google; You'll learn more from launching to we internet nerds than your trusted testers, just saying.

With the power of AI Google says it will bring a richer version to translate which will give more context when one is translating words.

AI enhancements boosting ‘visual search’ in Lens.

Music + AI

The 'Blob Opera' AI experiment is one where a neural network or AI creates what opera might sound like. The project was a machine learning experiment by David Li in collaboration with Google Arts & Culture.

It was a packed event with little nuggets and nothing over the top, I can't wait to see what's next in this AI Race!

Graduate uses ChatGPT to pass a university essay

A graduate used ChatGPT to write a university essay and successfully tricked a professor who gave the report a passing grade, The student Pieter told ChatGPT to write a complex 2,000-word piece on social policy - which it did in 20 minutes. When he submitted it to a lecturer at a top Russell Group university, they gave it a grade of 53 - a passing 2:2.

The professor was later told that it was written by ChatGPT and as you might expect from a smart lecturer he said he noticed something fishy but it read more like a lazy student waffling over an AI.
