OpenAI’s red team

OpenAI, the company behind the ChatGPT chatbot, hired a "red team" of 50 experts to test GPT-4, the latest version of the artificial intelligence system that powers the bot. The team's task was to ask probing or dangerous questions and to test the model for issues such as toxicity, prejudice, and linguistic biases.

The team found that the model displayed biases against marginalized communities, displayed overt stereotypes, and even suggested new nerve agents. OpenAI has responded by retraining GPT-4 and freezing its learning capacity.

This is an interesting one and kinda shows why they aren’t training GPT 5 yet.

Adobe Text-to-Video AI

Adobe is introducing its generative AI suite, Firefly, into its Creative Cloud to make video customization more accessible. With text-to-video-editing, users can edit videos with simple text prompts without any manual intervention. This includes changing a video's color grade, background, and shade, creating subtitles, logos, and custom graphics, and converting scripts into detailed storyboards, pre-visuals, and b-roll recommendations.

Firefly is still in beta, and its true capabilities will be seen later this year but this is pretty exciting

Meta’s New AI Model

This one is technical and not really something that will have “immediate” impact so i’ll keep it short.

Meta Open Sourced a new AI Model called DINOv2, a new method for training high-performance computer vision models using self-supervising.

DINOv2 has the capability to carry out visual tasks, such as analyzing the dimensions of objects within images without much intervention needed.

This self-supervision method is the same way cutting-edge large language models for text applications like ChatGPT are created.

As I said earlier this doesn’t mean much now but imagine the possibilities of ChatGPT and bring that Visual Tasks, peak automation right there.

ChaosGPT.

I’d normally feature this as a “tool” but wanted to get in a word or two. It's quite an interesting concept to show the “dark side” of AI but also it might be a little bit overblown beyond proportion by the Media, this is essentially what Mainstream media has painted AI as for the past couple of months and now they have a Twitter account and Youtube account that can do that for them and give them enormous stories.

Yes, this could go wrong but if we are being completely logical, it's just a Jailbroken ChatGPT talking to other Jailbroken ChatGPTs about plans to take over the world. Nothing more (for now)
